Safety Guides

Please advise your customers, family and event teams. A quick checklist of do's, don'ts and aerial-firework precautions for every Diwali season.

Please Advise Your Customers
DO'S
  1. Buy the fireworks from reliable sellers possessing a valid licence.
  2. An adult should always supervise the use of fireworks.
  3. Safety precautions marked on the fireworks should be strictly followed.
  4. Use a candle or an agarbathi to ignite the fireworks.
  5. Always keep a bucket of water at hand to extinguish an incipient fire.
  6. Aerial fireworks should only be used in a safe landing zone.
DON'TS
  1. Never ignite fireworks while holding them. Put them down, ignite them and walk away.
  2. Don't put fireworks in any container to ignite.
  3. Any malfunctioning fireworks should be abandoned.
  4. Never ignite aerial fireworks where overhead obstructions (trees, leaves, wires etc.) may interfere with the trajectory. Never ignite aerial fireworks near an opening to a building — an open garage door or window could allow them to fly inside and cause a fire.
  5. Never use fireworks inside the house.
  6. Use fireworks outdoors, but not on a public thoroughfare.
  7. Never experiment or make your own fireworks.
  8. Never re-light a "dud" firework — wait 15 to 20 minutes, then soak it in a bucket of water.
  9. Do not use spurious or illegal fireworks.
  10. Fireworks should not be used between 10:00 PM & 6:00 AM, as per Supreme Court order.
WARNING

Fancy Aerial Grand Repeaters

This is a display item — for outdoor use only. Before use, select open ground where no people are within a 200 metre vicinity. The surface should be firm and not covered with loose soil. Not to be used near community centres or halls. Avoid using on streets during marriage processions or any other function.

  1. 01 Remove

Remove the nylon tape and corrugated board top. Do not take out the piece from the wooden case packing.

  2. 02 Dig

Dig out a pit on the ground to hold the box. The depth of the pit should be half the height of the box. Place the box vertically — see the arrow mark on the box — into the pit.

  3. 03 Place

If you don't want to dig a pit, place the box vertically on a hard level surface and pack it tightly on all sides with sand bags.

  4. 04 Ignite

Light the fuse with a lengthy lighted sparkler within the case itself and move away immediately. Minimum safety distance: 100 metres.

  5. 05 Enjoy

Enjoy the colourful display from a safe distance.

First, light the fuse in one corner. In case of failure, light the fuse in another corner. Small fuses are only additional help — never a substitute for safe distance.
